Muslims Sue FBI For Using No-Fly List To Coerce

Four American Muslims have filed a lawsuit against the federal government, claiming the FBI has used the no-fly list to attempt to coerce them into becoming informants. The suit seeks to have the plaintiff’s names removed from the list, and the creation of more legal avenues for victims of such actions. The case follows another, brought by the ACLU in Oregon, that seeks to change how people placed on the no-fly list can get themselves removed. About 16,000 people, fewer than 500 of them Americans, were on the list as of September 2011, according to the FBI.
