Musicians Sue RadioShack For Misattributed Commercial Song

Thanks to a clerical error by “someone with exquisite taste, but shit for brains,” band Cadaver Dogs got no attribution or royalties when their song “Drop Zone” was used in a nationwide RadioShack commercial for new cell phones. The band’s drummer Lex Vegas gives a colorful account of how the band discovered its song was being used without credit, and after refusing to accept an initial settlement offer, what actions they now plan to take against RadioShack, Samsung, Motorola, the ad agency that made the commercial, and the music licensing company who sent another artist the check.
