Musicians Sue Filmmakers Over Foreign Recordings

The American Federation of Musicians has sued the three Hollywood entertainment companies for recording film scores outside the United States and Canada. According to the union, a 2010 collective bargaining agreement stipulates that films produced in North America must be scored there. The lawsuit seeks damages for losses suffered by AFM members and an order that the defendants make appropriate contributions to health benefit funds.
