Mid-Year Report On Securities Class-Action Filings

Among the findings of a report from Cornerstone Research and The Stanford Law School Securities Class Action Clearinghouse: The number of securities class action filings against companies in the S&P 500, which have been declining for years, were the lowest since the study began 13 years ago. The total number of filings remains at a “depressed” level, and the rush of filings against Chinese companies listed on U.S. exchanges has ended.
