McConnell Promises Judicial Nominee Votes

The Senate will vote on five judicial nominees, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has promised, but not until just before the President’s Day recess in February. The nominees will include: Pennsylvania circuit court nominee Luis Felipe Restrepo; Minnesota district court nominee Wilhelmina Wright; New Jersey district court nominee John Vazquez; and Iowa district court nominees Rebeca Ebinger and Leonard Strand. All the nominees have broad support from both parties. The Senate has confirmed only 11 judges this year, the lowest number in 50 years.
