Matthew Jacobson Joins King & Spalding As Partner In Corporate Practice

King & Spalding has recruited Matthew Jacobson as a partner in its corporate practice in the firm’s New York office. Jacobson will divide his time between the firm’s New York and Silicon Valley offices working with clients and matters on the west coast. He joins King & Spalding from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Most recently, Jacobson was co-head of Freshfields’ technology sector group and was jointly responsible for the strategy and the execution of business initiatives in this area. He joined Freshfields from Hewlett-Packard where he oversaw, among many other matters, the Compaq integration. Earlier in his career, Jacobson practiced in the Palo Alto office of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison.
