‘Matrix’ Did Not Infringe Upon Revenant Nazis, Court Finds

California judge Gary Klausner ruled that the Warner Bros.’ Matrix Trilogy did not plagiarize a screen play for a film called The Immortals, after viewing all three Matrix films and reading the screenplay. He noted that both the Matrix films and The Immortals are about failed attempts to wreak havoc on humanity, but the resemblance ends there. In The Immortals, cryogenically frozen Nazis, including The Fuhrer himself, reanimate and go on a global killing spree. The villains in the Matrix films are sinister machines that want to enslave mankind. The judge saw no protectable element of plot, theme, character or dialogue in any of it.
