March Madness Betting Pools Illegal

As the March Madness gears up, attorney Brian Finucane of Fisher & Phillips warns that some NCAA tournament office pools are illegal. He notes that an estimated 50 million people participate in these pools, which cost employers about $1 billion an hour in lost productivity. He explained that a pool where someone collects money for a final prize is against the law, but no busts were reported last year.
