LSAT Test Takers On Pace For 15-Year Lows

For the fifth straight year, the number of prospective lawyers taking the LSAT is falling. The number of test-takers in June and October 2014 was down 43 percent from the same periods in 2009, on pace to reach records lows last seen in the late 1990s. The Law School Admission Council data shows an 8 percent drop in test takers from fall of 2013. The dire numbers are leading some law schools to trim or freeze tuition and ramp up their scholarship offerings.
