LinkedIn Hires Former Yahoo Lawyer Michael Callahan As GC

LinkedIn Corp. has hired Michael Callahan to be its new general counsel. Callahan, who headed Yahoo’s legal department from 2003 until 2012, joins the professional networking company from online real estate marketplace Auction.com. He begins the job July 28, replacing current GC Erika Rottenberg, who in April announced she would be leaving the company. She was the company’s first full-time in-house hire in July 2008.
