Lawyers: We Were Fired To Prevent Split Of $391M Verdict

In a lawsuit, 17 former attorneys at a top Colorado law firm claim they were let go to avoid splitting a $391 million verdict they helped the firm win months earlier. Reilly Pozner promised husband-and-wife lawyers Wendy and Eric Fisher “life-changing” benefit from their work on the big case, the attorneys claim in their suit. The two worked for Reilly Pozner since 2000, but were not equity partners. The case, which is being appealed, concerned a bank allegedly involved in a funeral scam. Reilly Pozner is seeking to force the Fishers to arbitrate the case.
