Lawyers, Judges Oppose British Exit From EU

A report which outlines misconceptions about EU membership, and potential unforeseen consequences of the UK leaving the EU, has been issued over the signatures of more than 250 lawyers and academics, including former EU judges, QCs and partners from major law firms. The report cites ‘unequivocal’ evidence that there are benefits of EU membership to the UK’s economy and people. The benefits are said to include easier and cheaper travel, a more secure society and a cleaner environment. “British citizens take many of the benefits of EU membership for granted,” according to the report.
