Law Firms Outsource “Middle Office” Tasks

Many law firms are turning to outsourcing providers to find workers for “middle office” tasks, such as eFiling court documents and preparing EDGAR filings for the SEC, which take specialized training. The shifting legal marketplace has turned many of those once-simple tasks into projects requiring more skill and interaction than traditional back-office functions, but are not a direct part of practicing law.
