Law Firm Mergers Match 2015 Numbers

Law firm mergers so far this year are keeping pace with 2015 numbers, according to figures from Altman Weil MergerLine. A total of 48 deals were announced through the end of June, and most of the activity involved smaller firms. About half of the acquisitions involved firms with 50 or fewer lawyers. There were 91 total law firm mergers in 2015. Notably, the report listed four international deals made in recent months, three of which merged American and British firms.
