Judge Won’t Dismiss Dewey & LeBoeuf Criminal Charges

Criminal charges will not be dropped against three former leaders of Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP in an alleged accounting fraud case, but the fourth man indicted in the case – a former client relations manager – will be granted a separate trial. New York state supreme court Justice Robert M. Stolz granted Zachary Warren’s request to sever his case from senior leaders of the now-defunct firm, but said indictments will stand, along with 106 of the 111 counts brought against the men. The lawsuit alleges that the Dewey executives inflated earnings to mislead investors in the firm.
