Judge Tosses Deception Suit vs Starbucks

A federal judge in the Central District of California has dismissed a lawsuit targeting Seattle-based Starbucks Corp for misrepresenting the size of its iced drinks. The plaintiff alleged the company misled consumers because the listed size of its iced drinks included the ice. The judge was not impressed. Given, he said, that children figure out that if you get a drink without ice, you get more of the drink, “the court has no difficulty concluding that a reasonable consumer would not be deceived.”
