Journalist Hired To Investigate Kickstarter Failure

Crowd-funding firm Kickstarter has hired a journalist to investigate how and why the largest-funded European project ever failed within a year. British drone startup Torquing Group raised $3.4 million in two months, promising that backers would receive a handheld Zano drone. Within a year the CEO had resigned and the company had folded. Seattle-based British journalist Mark Harris reported that he was hired by Kickstarter directly to investigate Torquing’s collapse and send the findings to the project’s backers.
