John R. Walter To GC At CVR Energy, Inc.

CVR Energy, Inc. announced that John R. Walter will become the company’s senior vice president, general counsel and secretary, effective immediately. Walter will also serve as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary for the general partner of CVR Energy’s petroleum subsidiary, CVR Refining, LP CVRR, and for the general partner of its nitrogen fertilizer subsidiary, CVR Partners, LP. He replaces Edmund S. Gross, who retired on Dec. 31, 2014. Walter joined CVR Energy in 2008 as associate general counsel and later served as vice president, associate general counsel and assistant secretary. Prior to joining CVR Energy, Walter served as a corporate and transactional attorney for Kansas City, Missouri-based firms Stinson Morrison Hecker, LLP and Seigfreid, Bingham, Levy, Selzer & Gee, P.C. for a combined six years.
