James A. Thompson, Jr. Joins Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP As Counsel

Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP announced today that James A. Thompson, Jr. has joined the firm’s Energy, Environmental and Commodities Practice Group as Counsel, and will be resident in the firm’s Washington, DC office. He previously served as Of Counsel at Pepper Hamilton LLP. Thompson’s dynamic legal practice spans four decades and focuses on environmental and energy law matters, including seven years as counsel for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and three years as senior counsel reporting directly to the agency’s general counsel on all environmental and energy issues arising in the western half of the United States.
