Italian Court To Decide Third Knox Trial

The third trial in the case of a murdered British student studying abroad in Italy, in which American Amanda Knox is among the accused, has held closing arguments. Knox was found guilty for the 2007 murder, served four years in prison as the case was appealed, and returned to the U.S. when the appellate court threw out her sentence in 2011. But Italy’s highest court vacated the appeal ruling, saying it was filled with errors and contradictions. The third trial is being held before two professional judges and eight jurors.
