For Internet Infringement In The EU, What Court Do You Call?

The venue issue can get complicated when the alleged infringement is in the form of Internet content. Where should the case be filed? Per regulation by the European Commission, normally in any lawsuit a party would be sued in the member state in which the party resides. But Internet infringement is among the exceptions that are carved out from that rule. In that case, the appropriate venue is where the infringement occurred.
