Increasing Use Of Data Analytics Across Legal Industry

A survey from Huron Legal finds that data analytics is being employed across a variety of functions both in-house and in law firms, and that legal professionals expect wider deployment over the next two years. E-discovery is the area where the most respondents (64 percent) reported using it, and nearly a third of respondents said they applied it in litigation management. Twenty-nine percent said they applied it for purposes of information governance, and 10 percent said they applied it for M&A evaluation. The most cited benefits were cost management/savings and improved decision making.
