HP To Sue Deloitte For Its Audit Ahead Of Botched Merger

Hewlett-Packard will sue the British unit of Deloitte over its role in auditing a software company that HP acquired, then accused of misrepresenting itself by inflating numbers. HP has already said it plans to pursue legal action against executives for the company, Autonomy, in connection with the botched merger, Reuters reports. HP shareholder Phillip Rocciardi filed a lawsuit in November 2012 against Deloitte and fellow auditors KPMG for alleged “accounting improprieties” related to the 2011 merger.
