The International Chamber of Commere (ICC) has published a practical guide to international arbitration. An update from Sidley Austin LLP summarizes the document, which is titled, “Effective Management of Arbitration: A Guide for In-House Counsel and Other Party Representatives.” International arbitration forums are noted for their flexibility, but disputants often overlook the option of custom-designing procedures to fit the dispute, the Sidley writers note. This guide, they say, “provides a useful resource for helping in-house counsel think proactively about case management considerations at an early stage and craft tailored procedures consistent with their chosen strategy.”
