Hitler Picture Hung To Honor Vets, Says Judge

An Oregon judge who is already under a state ethics investigation for refusing to perform same-sex marriages has now been accused of putting a picture of Adolf Hitler up in a Salem courthouse. Before hanging the picture, Marion County Circuit Court Judge Vance Day screened wedding applicants to weed out gay couples and allowed a veteran with a felony to handle a firearm. A spokesman for Day said the Hitler picture was meant to honor World War II veterans. “His picture was there. It was not admiringly. It was him as the epitome of the enemy that we went to fight against,” Patrick Korten told Reuters.
