Heritage Foundation Hires Former White House Assoc. Counsel John M. Mitnick as GC

The Heritage Foundation has hired John M. Mitnick as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary. Mitnick serves as Heritage’s chief legal officer in the nonprofit think tank’s senior management team, advising on and overseeing all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters for Heritage and its related organizations. Prior to joining Heritage, Mitnick served as Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary for Raytheon Technical Services Co. Previously, he was an Associate Counsel to President George W. Bush in the White House as well as Deputy Counsel for the Homeland Security Council. Mitnick’s career also includes serving as the Associate General Counsel for Science and Technology at the Department of Homeland Security and as a partner at a major international law firm.
