Harvard Law Professor Denounced By Students

“Highly offensive, discriminatory, and violent statements in online posts” by Law School professor Adrian C. Vermeule have been excoriated by eleven Harvard Law School student organizations. They have signed a joint statement describing calling Vermeule’s posts as “harmful to democracy” and “unbelievably divisive.” They are particularly incensed by his allegations of election fraud, and are demanding that Law School administrators condemn his “spread of inaccurate conspiracy theories about the election” and conduct an investigation to determine whether Vermeule is “spreading misinformation or discriminatory content in his classes.” In tweets, Vermeule has supported President Trump’s false claims of voter fraud. One of the signatory groups, The Equal Democracy Project wrote The Harvard Crimson that it decided to sign the letter because Vermeule, “bolstered by his HLS pedigree,” was “contributing to the deterioration of our democracy.”
