Harvard Endowment Manager Jane L. Mendillo Is Out

Jane L. Mendillo, the manager of Harvard’s $32.7 billion endowment, plans to step down by the end of the year, the university said on Tuesday. Mendillo became president and chief executive of the Harvard Management Company, which oversees the endowment, in 2008. Harvard did not give a reason for Ms. Mendillo’s departure.
