Google Helps Goldman Sachs Avoid Massive Data Breach From Errant Email

A Goldman Sachs contractor sent off an email containing “highly confidential brokerage account information” to the wrong address, but Google stepped in at the firm’s request to block access to the email, and according to a Goldman Sachs spokesperson, Google has informed the bank that the email had never been accessed. However, Google said it could not delete the email without a court order. Goldman Sachs is attempting to get the order from a New York state court in Manhattan.
