Google Acquires Cybersecurity Company

Google has acquired the Israeli cybersecurity company Siemplify. The price was reportedly $500 million. Google’s VP of cloud security called Siemplify a leader in the security orchestration, automation and response field, and said the acquisition will transform the way organizations hunt, detect and respond to threats. Siemplify has customers including Fortune 500 companies to managed security services providers. It has about 200 employees. A 19 member team from White and Case advised Siemplify on the sale.
