Goodbye Citizens United … But So What?

Campaign finance has always been a vexed question for the Supreme Court, and it will probably reverse its’ ruling in Citizens United when a new Justice or two is appointed under the next President. But that might not make much practical difference, according to Bradley A. Smith, writing for The Atlantic. “While a new justice on the Supreme Court may dramatically alter the Supreme Court’s campaign-finance jurisprudence, the issue isn’t actually going anywhere,” he writes.
