Goldman Lawyers Tell OJ To Pony-up

The family of alleged OJ Simpson victim Ron Goldman won a $3.5 million damages judgment against the former running back after his trial for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Goldman ended in a not guilty verdict. The sum has since swelled to $71 million due to interest, which accumulated while Simpson languished in a Nevada penitentiary on other charges. Last month the Goldman family’s lawyers were in court demanding that any profits he makes from autograph signings be handed over to them. He sold autographs shortly after his release from prison in October, but his lawyers claim that the funds went towards legal bills. Simpson filed papers to a Los Angeles court in January 17, saying his attempts to readjust to civilian life and family life had been shattered by Fred Goldman. His lawyers claim that there only needs to be a rumor that he is exploiting his name commercially and he immediately finds himself back in court.
