GM Dealer Suing Auto-Maker Over Cars With Faulty Switches

A General Motors dealer in Arkansas is suing the auto-maker, claiming they have been saddled with “highly dangerous vehicles,” and seeking actual and punitive damages on behalf of all U.S. GM dealers. Over the course of this year, GM has issued recalls for 15.8 million of its cars – a record for the automaker in a single year – but nonetheless has just posted its best quarter since the financial crisis of 2008. The Little Rock, Arkansas GM dealer claims GM “actively” concealed the ignition switch problem that has led to at least 13 deaths and kicked off this round of recalls.
