Glock Divorce Case Threatens Gun Secrets

While their divorce case rages on in Austria, a U.S. court is hearing a racketeering case filed by Gaston Glock’s ex-wife, Helga Glock, claiming the weapons entrepreneur “plundered hundreds of millions of dollars” by stealing funds from the company’s main U.S. subsidiary using sham transactions. The company came under scrutiny as early as 2009 for using shell corporations to transfer assets internationally to minimize taxes. Now Helga Glock claims those steps were also used to hide assets from her. A trial would risk airing business transactions and the voluminous amount of company data to which Helga Glock has access.
