Georgia Judge Exchanges Obscenities With Defendant

A murder defendant told the judge that he’d “cut his children to pieces,” and when the judge informed him he didn’t have children, the defendant threatened other relatives, including his grandchildren. “You’re a real, real nasty-ass judge,” said the defendant. “I am indeed,” the judge replied, “and you’re going to find out how nasty.” The defendant was in court seeking a new public defender, after claiming the public defender assigned to his case had performed a sex act on him in exchange for his representation. The defendant’s repeated demands that the judge “go f—k” himself resulted in a long sentence for contempt and terroristic threats.
