Gains In U.S. Legal Jobs In August

The U.S. legal sector added 3,300 jobs in August, an employment boost that brought the sector to its highest job total since early 2009. The total number of legal jobs now stands at more than 1.1 million, according to the Labor Department. The one-month growth spurt for legal jobs was not mirrored across the economy, however, with August job totals slowing to the lowest level of the year so far, after steady gains through early 2014.
