French CEOs March In Protest

French executives are staging a week-long protest against government regulations and taxes they say are hindering business. French president Francois Hollande has said he plans to unveil proposals to address the country’s labor rules and to grant tax breaks in an effort to jump-start an economy that has been largely stagnant for years. Employers worry that changes may do more harm than good, however, and are concerned with a measure taking effect next year that may reduce the workload of employees with physically challenging jobs.
