Former Top Fed Lawyer Denis J. McInerney Returns To Davis Polk & Wardwell

Denis J. McInerney, a former top federal prosecutor, is returning to Davis Polk & Wardwell after stepping down earlier this year as deputy assistant attorney general in the Justice Department. McInerney had been a litigation partner at Davis Polk for many years before leaving in 2010 to become the chief of the fraud section for Justice Department in Washington, and then later deputy assistant attorney general. McInerney first joined the firm as an associate in 1986.
