Former FCC Chair Joins Carlyle Group

Global alternative asset manager The Carlyle Group today named Julius Genachowski a Managing Director and partner in the U.S. Buyout team. In his new role, Genachowski will focus on investments in global technology, media and telecom, including Internet and mobile. Genachowski served as Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission for the last four years, departing last May.
