Former DOJ Lawyer Amy Jeffress Joins Arnold & Porter LLP

Amy Jeffress, a former high-ranking official in the Justice Department, has joined Arnold & Porter LLP as a partner in its White Collar Defense and National Security practices, the firm announced. Jeffress will be resident in the firm’s Washington office, where her practice will focus on national and international security and compliance issues, internal investigations, enforcement actions, and criminal defense. In a legal career spanning nearly two decades, primarily at the U.S. Department of Justice, Ms. Jeffress most recently served as the Department’s Attaché to the U.S. Embassy in London, where she was responsible for coordinating criminal matters between the United States and the United Kingdom. While at the Department of Justice, she also served as Counselor to the Attorney General; Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of Columbia, including two years as Chief of the National Security Section; and Counsel to the Deputy Attorney General.
