Florida Considers Bill To Forgive Law School Debt For State Attorneys

Attorneys working in Florida as state prosecutors or public defenders would have up to $44,000 of their law-school debt forgiven under a law pending in the state legislature. The average debt for law students in 2012 was $122,200 for private school grads and $84,600 for public school, putting any lawyer interested in lower-paying jobs working for the state at an economic disadvantage.
