Federal Worker Job Satisfaction Continues Downward Trend

The rapidly declining numbers of federal workers happy with their jobs is “an ongoing train crash,” one observer told the Washington Post. A Partnership For Public Service report found that job satisfaction in the private sector is actually on the rise, while federal employees are increasingly unhappy with their workplace, The average government worker comes in 13 points below the average private-sector employee in terms of job satisfaction, Just 43 percent of government workers say they are acknowledged when they do a good job, compared to 64 percent of private-sector employees.
