FCC Pushes Airwave Auction To 2015

An auction for broadcast airwaves that will reshape how TV stations and wireless carriers divide the spectrum has been delayed to 2015, a year later than expected. Part of the auction, one of the most complex undertakings the Federal Communications Agency has ever done, will include the FCC paying broadcasters to give up some low-frequency airwaves so they can be sold to telecommunications companies like Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint.
