FBI Investigating Baseball Hacking

The St. Louis Cardinals are under investigation by the FBI for allegedly hacking into the Houston Astros’ database to mine statistics, scouting reports, and internal discussions about players, trades and other proprietary information. ESPN reports that the FBI is close to a conclusion. “Major League Baseball has been aware of and has fully cooperated with the federal investigation into the illegal breach of the Astros’ baseball operations database,” an MLB statement read.
