Europe’s Army Of The Unemployed

More than 26 million people are officially listed as unemployed in the Eurozone, which equates to an unemployment rate of more than 12 percent. But a New York Times report also cites numbers, including retail sales and factory orders, that suggest the unemployment picture in Europe could brighten in the near future. In the U.S. the rate is 7 percent. In Germany it’s 5.2 percent, while in Greece it’s at 27.4 percent.
