For common discrimination or unfair dismissal claims there are hefty filing fees, and recent changes in the law reduce the amount of the potential award for many claims and introduce a new “sift stage” early in the case, with greater opportunity for early dismissal. There are also new limits on whistleblowers. More changes have been proposed for early 2014.
