Emoticon Death Threat Still Illegal

When a Vice magazine reporter explored an Instagram drug ring, a jilted dealer posted pictures of the writer’s public Instagram account – including GPS-located photos – along with emoticons depicting a gun being held up to a dead smiley face. Legal experts interviewed by Time magazine believe the threat would hold up in court as illegal.
