Ellen Pao Talks Feminism Post-Trial, May Appeal

Though Ellen Pao lost her lawsuit against Kleiner Perkins, her former employer, she has continued to speak out about gender inequality in Silicon Valley. She also said her team was considering an appeal of the ruling. Pao told the Wall Street Journal that in many Silicon Valley tech firms , women are either too meek to get ahead, or too aggressive to be trusted: “You have this needle that you have to thread, and sometimes it feels like there’s no hole in the needle. From what I’ve heard from women, they do feel like there’s no way to win. They can’t be aggressive and get this opportunity without being treated like there’s something wrong.”
