DIA Director, Deputy Director To Step Down

Defense Intelligence Agency director LTG Michael T. Flynn and his deputy, David R. Shedd, announced that they will depart the agency and retire by early Fall 2014. Flynn has served as director since July 2012, and Shedd joined the agency as deputy director in August 2010. The shakeup in leadership comes at the agency is under pressure to shift its focus, and cut its budget, after more than a decade at war.
