Despite Critics, Administration Will Continue Biofuel Support

The administration’s renewable-fuels standard is under attack from members of Congress and the petroleum industry, as well as some environmentalists who dispute the benefits of corn-based ethanol. But an administration official made clear it’s not backing down on the mandate, which will require refiners to change their formula to include renewable fuels.
